The 12-Gauge Non-Lethal Extended Range Marking Munition is designed to deny access into/out of an area to individuals, move individuals through an area, and suppress individuals. This technology has the potential to support multiple missions including:

• Checkpoints
• Patrols/convoys
• Crowd control

Safe and effective distances for the fired munitions range from a minimum of 10 meters to a maximum of 75 meters when targeting individuals. The munition provides for an increased range from currently used non-lethal 12-gauge shotgun additionally the 12-Gauge Non-Lethal Extended Range Marking Munition provides a marking capability so warfighters can later identify or capture the target.
