Royal Thai and U.S. Armed Forces conduct an amphibious beach landing as part of exercise Cobra Gold 2020 at Hat Yao Beach, Sattahip, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 28, 2020. The amphibious beach landing brought together Navy, Marine, and Air Force units from Thailand and the United States. The amphibious beach landing operation was conducted to simulate securing an objective ashore, with follow-on training to secure a beachhead. Exercise Cobra Gold 2020 is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together multinational forces to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific region.
