I Corps Holocaust Remembrance Day 2024

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we solemnly honor the memory of the millions of lives lost during one of history's darkest chapters with a reading of “First They Came” by poet and pastor Martin Niemöller in 1946.

The Holocaust stands as a stark reminder of the horrors of prejudice, discrimination, and unchecked hatred. As we remember the victims, we pledge to never forget their stories, to stand against bigotry in all its forms, and to strive for a world where such atrocities never happen again.
