U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Steven A. Shapiro, commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Steven Vandeput, Belgian Minister of Defense, Matthew Lussenhop, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of the United States to the Kingdom of Belgium and Ann Schrijvers, mayor of Zutendaal, cut the ribbon during the opening ceremony of the Army pre-positioned stock (APS) 2 site, in Zutendaal, Belgium, Nov. 21, 2017. The APS sites are vital components of total Army readiness as they give combatant commanders the ability to execute operation plans worldwide.
