UK Personnel assigned to NATO's Very High Readiness Land Forces, including Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (HQ ARRC) and 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards deployed from RAF Brize Norton on May 31 for Romania to take part in NATO Exercise NOBLE JUMP 2017.

After leaving their home stations in Gloucester and Aldershot, UK, they moved to the Joint Air Mounting Centre (JAMC), at South Cerney, Gloucestershire before flying out from RAF Brize Norton to Bucharest; en route to the Cincu Training Area for the exercise.

Noble Jump 2017 features more than 2,000 troops from several NATO and partner nations and is designed to test the capability and readiness of the NATO Response Force (NRF) and Very High Readiness Joint Task Force Land (VJTF(L)) as part of NATO’s Readiness Action Plan (RAP).
